Names released in fatal LaGrange County car crash

The names of the three victims killed in a head-on crash in LaGrange County have been released.

The wreck happened around 2:30 Friday afternoon along U.S. 20, between North County Road 1150 West and North County Road 1200 West. That's in Newbury Township, near the LaGrange County-Elkhart County line.

Police say 21-year-old Dwayne Davis of Parker City was heading east in his white four-door car, when he crossed the center line to pass another vehicle. Instead, he ended up colliding nearly head-on with an oncoming pick-up truck.

Parker and his two passengers, 19-year-old Frederick Petro and 26-year-old Christopher Whiteman, both of Muncie, were all killed.

The driver of the pick-up, 43-year-old Andrew Nutbrown of Quebec, was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital for torso pain. No word yet on his condition.
