It remains unclear as to when the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant will reopen.
The Van Buren County plant has had repeated issues and shutdowns.
According to reporting partners from WSJM, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission sent an expert to the site on Friday.
They are working to repair a component cooling water system leak.
They say there is no threat to safety.
Officials have not set a date for when the plant will return to operation.
