Musical by John Mellencamp and Stephen King coming to The Morris

A musical created by rocker John Mellencamp, novelist Stephen King and producer T Bone Burnett will kick off a 20-city tour this fall in Bloomington.

And it's making a stop in South Bend.

The show, entitled Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, is billed as a “southern gothic supernatural musical of fraternal love, lust, jealousy and revenge.”

It premiered last year in Atlanta and will be performed by an ensemble cast of 15 actors and a four-piece live band.

Mellencamp and King began working on the idea for the musical back in 2000.

The show will be coming to the Morris Performing Arts Center on November 5 but tickets go on sale next Friday.
