The Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend continues to steal the show with a high rating from a worldwide theatre ranking.
Recently the Pollstar 2012 Year End Top 100 Worldwide Theatre Venue ranked the Morris as 76 based on tickets sales from the past year. The ranking was reported in Pollstar magazine.
South Bend’s live performance venue shines alongside such well-known venues as Radio City Music Hall in New York City and the Fox Theatres in Atlanta and Detroit, and ranks above Clowes Memorial Hall in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the Congress Theater in Chicago, Illinois. The Pollstar 2012 Year End rankings include 22 venues located in other countries.
The Morris is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was completely restored and renovated in 2000. The Morris has been voted the South Bend Tribune Readers Choice Award for “Favorite Entertainment/Live Performance Theater” for 10 consecutive years (2003-2012.)
