SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The 75th Senior PGA Championship at Harbor Shores is just around the corner. In order to raise awareness, KitchenAid partnered with the Organic Gypsy to start a mobile food truck tour across Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana. Thursday, it made a stop right here in South Bend.
The Organic Gypsy is a food truck that launched back in 2011 by a Benton Harbor-native. Shortly after that, the owner, Bridgett Blough, opened her current kitchen and pop-up restaurant event venue at South Burdick Street in Kalamazoo in 2013. Blough uses all local food because she believes local food supports the local economy and promotes overall health.
The food tour started on April 16 and lasts for four weeks. In total, it will make nine different stops, one of them being right here in South Bend. KitchenAid and the Organic Gypsy stopped at Eddy Street Commons and served food from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Senior PGA Championship will take place at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor over Memorial Day Weekend, May 22-25. For more information about the 2014 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, visit www.pga.com/seniorpga/.
