The Michigan Lottery is getting ready to go online.
The state's lottery commissioner announced this week that they will be adding the online sale of popular games next year.
That means Michigan Lottery players, through subscription sales, will be able to purchase Classic Lotto 47, Fantasy 5, Powerball and Mega Millions starting in April.
The news comes as lottery officials celebrated its 40th anniversary.
The lottery says it sold its first ticket on November 13, 1972 and has contributed more than $17 billion to state education since then.
