The Michigan Court of Appeals has upheld the murder convictions of Junior Lee Beebe.
Beebe was convicted of the January 2011 killings of his girlfriend Tonya Howarth, and his cousin’s wife, Amy Hensley in Van Buren County, Michigan.
Attorneys for Beebe argued that there was not sufficient evidence to support his convictions.
The court disagreed, saying that Beebe was the only witness to the shootings and that the jury simply disbelieved his tale that Howarth shot Hensley, and was then shot by Beebe in self-defense.
Beebe is serving two life sentences for his crimes.
