Michigan City Police are warning residents to take extra precautions after two sexual assaults occurred within the past 48 hours.
The first incident happened around 11:30 Tuesday night in the area of Lafayette Street and Barker Avenue. The second occurred less than a mile away, near Wabash and 11th around 11:45 Wednesday night.
The suspects in Tuesday’s assault are two black men. One was in his late twenties to early thirties, around 5’10” and had short braids and light skin. The other was about 5’ 8” with darker skin.
The description of Wednesday night's suspect isn't being released at this time.
