Michiana residents without power

Folks in some parts of Michiana spent some of their Memorial Day without electricity.

Power was knocked out to more than 1,000 St. Joseph County residents and businesses for part of the afternoon.

According to Indiana Michigan Power, that number has since gone down to a little more than 500 customers, as crews work to restore power.

Some customers in Berrien County were also impacted by the outages, but power has been completely restored there.
