It appears that a homicide investigators are zeroing in on the gunman responsible for nearly killing a South Bend man.
Around 5 a.m. Saturday, someone shot David Middleton Jr., 29, Multiple times in the 800-block of North Adams St., on the city's west side.
Monday, homicide commander Tim Corbett said “There's a course we're traveling down at this time."
While he wouldn't talk specifics, Commander Corbett confirmed that his unit has brought multiple people in for questioning.
He also told us crime technicians have fully processed the car that Middleton used to escape from his shooter.
Monday, the 29-year-old remains on life support in critical condition.
