Member of Cash Out Boyz gang sentenced

South Bend officer's focus on gang-related crimes has led to the arrest, conviction, and now sentencing, of Kevin Burrell, one of the Cash Out Boyz."

Last month, a jury found him guilty of two counts each of Attempted Murder and Criminal Recklessness.

At his hearing Wednesday, Burrell faced a sentencing enhancement because the crimes were committed “at the direction of, or in affiliation with” a criminal gang.

Burrell was sentenced to an aggregate term of 111 years for his crimes.
