Mayor Buttigieg comments on council complaint, Enshrinement Festival

In the latest edition of the "Monthly Chat with the Mayor", South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg commented on a recent complaint made by South Bend council member Henry Davis (D) - District 2.

Davis says Councilman Fred Ferlic (D) - District 4 made a comment about his appearance. Davis accuses Ferlic of saying that Davis looked like a "drug dealer" when he wore his sunglasses.

Mayor Buttigieg said, "We are really trying to keep our eye on the big picture right now, we have some big issues the city is facing right now from economic development to safety."

He went on to say, "The council is facing a number of really important decisions especially as we work on the budget. We have got to keep our eye on the ball."

Mayor Buttigieg also discussed the Enshrinement Festival this weekend where he will be judging the Ribs Cook-Off.

He also talked about the new United Way campaign kick-off and the home run derby to be held on Thursday.
