The Marshal of Millersburg, Indiana is facing criminal conversion charges after Elkhart County Prosecutors say he held onto women's underwear for unauthorized purposes.

Indiana State Police determined that in October of 2013, and again in February of 2014, David Keith Hathaway, 59, maintained unauthorized possession of women’s underwear belonging to another, and for an unauthorized purpose.

Hathaway is being charged with two counts of criminal Conversion, a class A misdemeanor, and could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $5,000.

The Millersburg Town Council has been notified of the charges.
