One person was sent to the hospital Thursday night after a domestic dispute turned violent.
It happened just before 5 p.m. in the 3500 block of Curtiss Dr. near Lincolnway West and Bendix Dr., on South Bend's northwest side.
Officers were called to the Beacon Heights apartment complex, where they found a large amount of blood and a man suffering from serious injuries.
Police say he was stabbed in the arm by a woman believed to be his wife or girlfriend, after a heated argument between the two escalated.
The man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening, while investigators stayed on the scene collecting evidence and interviewing the woman.
The St. Joseph County Family Violence and Special Victims Unit is taking over the case.
