A man found guilty of murdering of an elderly woman just after Christmas of 2011 is sentenced to 60 years in prison.
William Karimu, 19, pleaded guilty last month to the murder of Lois Hickey.
Police found Hickey stabbed and beaten to death in her home on East Donaldson, less than a week after Christmas.
Karimu eluded police for almost a year before they were able to extradite him from the African nation of Sierre Leone in September of last year.
He faced 45 to 65 years in prison.
