Man pleads not guilty to Michigan City town hall vandalism

A Michigan City man says he is not guilty after he allegedly used a baseball bat to break out the glass at the Michigan City Town Hall.

It happened back on October 1, according to the News Dispatch.

Matthew Wolferd, 28, was arrested on two counts of criminal mischief and one count of resisting law enforcement.

His next hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. on December 6.

Damage is estimated to cost $5,000-$8,000.

City officials say they may now upgrade the doors to increase safety.
