INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-- An Indianapolis man is showing others how a single act of kindness can make a big difference.

Ryan Cox pays for the order behind him at the Starbucks drive-thru every day.

Last Friday, Cox went to an Indianapolis elementary school with a much bigger plan.

He wanted to pay off overdue lunch accounts for some families.

In the process, Cox learned the whole school's balance was equal to $1200, and he wanted to help.

“I said I have a few nephews that go here but their accounts aren't delinquent. I want to pay random accounts,” said Cox. “I said what? Are you really? In the process of all that I said what's the total amount because i'm going to come back next week and pay the whole thing the whole, that's simply amazing, it's a big deal.”

Cox reached out on social media and people started to give.

He's received nearly $1,000 in five days.
