A man accused of fatally shooting two people in South Bend last August spent Wednesday morning in court for a hearing on his case.
Brandon Biffle, 29, faces nine felony charges, including murder, attempted murder and criminal recklessness.
Biffle didn't enter a plea at Wednesday's hearing. Instead, the judge set dates for his next appearances in court. Police say Biffle shot and killed Johnnie Avance, 53, and Donald Paris Senior, 55, in the 1600 block of North Olive Street.
He is also accused of opening fire on four police officers, and shooting at passing cars. His trial is scheduled to begin March 11.
