Potholes are a headache for any driver, but they are downright dangerous for people on motorcycles.

Saturday night, a man hit a pothole on the Toll Road between Middlebury and Shipshewana.

He had multiple injuries, including a head injury, and had to be airlifted from the scene.

The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, near the 110 mile mark.

Police have not released the victim's name.
