Man arrested in connection with a series of break-ins in Benton Harbor area

A Benton Township man has been arrested for a series of break-ins in the Benton Harbor area. 47-year-old Ronald Crafton is being held on 8 charges, ranging from breaking and entering to resisting police.

Police first found Crafton when he wrecked a stolen dump truck on August 19, and fled the scene. Then they used shoe prints to connect him with the August 8 theft of an ATM machine from The Livery Bar and Brewery.

Crafton is being held on $100,000 bond. He is also listed as a person of interest in other Benton Harbor break-ins.
