Man behind bars following DWI, resisting arrest in Goshen

Police say the man failed to pull over his Toyota sedan in the area of Eagle Drive and Williams Drive around 11:45 p.m. after a traffic violation. While being placed under arrest, he resisted and battered an officer.

GOSHEN, Ind. -- A man is behind bars after he allegedly drove while intoxicated, failed to stop for police and resisted arrest Friday in Goshen.

Police say the man failed to pull over his Toyota sedan in the area of Eagle Drive and Williams Drive around 11:45 p.m. after a traffic violation. When police tried to arrest him, he resisted and battered an officer.

The man refused to identify himself to police and was booked as “John Doe.”

He faces charges of operating while intoxicated, battery on a police officer, resisting law enforcement, resisting law enforcement in a vehicle and failure to identify himself to police.
