SOUTH BEND, Ind. The trial date for a man accused of setting his foreclosed home on fire has been pushed back.

Douglas Wilcox, 62, appeared in court Thursday morning. He is charged with arson, for a house fire in the 21000 block of Sandybrook Drive in August.

Wilcox appeared before Judge Hurley and made a motion for continuance of the January 13, 2014 jury trial date.

Hurley granted that motion, and the trial has been reset to April 28.

It all started when Wilcox was supposed to give the keys to a new owner the day his house burned down.

After a search that lasted a few weeks, police found and arrested Wilcox at a casino in Battle Creek.
