A local truck driver is charged in a crash that killed four people in a construction zone Monday in Illinois.
Francisco Espinal-Quiroz, 51, from Leesburg was arrested Tuesday.
According to NBC Chicago, witnesses say he was speeding when he entered the construction zone on northbound I-55 in Elwood.
Traffic was stalled, and Espinal-Quiroz slammed into the back of a car, causing a chain reaction crash involving three vehicles and another tractor-trailer.
Four people died, including an 11-year-old child.
Four others were injured.
Espinal-Quiroz was charged for failing to reduce speed and for falsifying his log book.
