Several local communities want the chance to hold the Waterfront Film Festival. Grand Haven, South Haven and St. Joesph all hope to host the event.

The festival brings in thousands by showcasing a variety of movies each June.

It used to be held in Saugatuck, but event cofounders tell reporting partners at WSJM
they want a city along the lake with tourist attractions.

The new host city should be announced by late next week.
