Large amount of blood donors at the South Bend Medical Foundation

The South Bend Medical Foundation saw an increase of donations this week.

On Monday, 99 people donated blood at three of the South Bend Medical Foundation donation centers.

The donations on Monday were up from 70 donations on a typical Monday.

Officials say those donations will help save about 270 lives.

Donors this month will receive a free t-shirt or a coupon book with more than $1,000 in savings.
