Just in time for the warm up this weekend, an ice-cream parlor in Cassopolis will be holding its re-grand opening Saturday.
The Lakeside Parlor was opened by two sisters who grew up in the Diamond Lake area.
The shop features 26 flavors of ice cream.
It serves hand-made waffle cones made with mix from South Bend's Carbon's Golden Malted company.
The idea to open the store came because the sisters wanted to have a place to take their kids that served hand-dipped ice cream.
"I think it brings a sense of community. I think it brings people together; it gives them a spot to come and socialize," said Lori Whitmyer, owner.
The Lakeside Parlor is located inside the Diamond Lake Golf Course Club House.
The re-grand opening of the store will take place on Saturday at noon and will include balloons and prizes for kids.
