The Marshall County Sheriff's Department is stepping up their patrols around Lake of the Woods.
For the second time this year, burglars stole a number of small items from some summer homes.
It fits the same pattern from about half a dozen break-ins back in February.
The thieves broke into five seasonal homes on Tuesday night along the lake and stole small electronics, used furniture and power tools.
So far no eye witnesses have come forward and it's believed the burglaries are happening around 2 or 3 a.m.
This winter it was easy to tell who wasn't home without snow tracks in the driveway but now neighbors suspect the burglars are familiar with the area.
“It’s been happening and all the neighbors have been watching that live here because we know it’s been happening and everybody kind of communicates,” says neighbor David Kapke.
Neighbors say the sheriff's department has made an effort to increase their preference but there's also talk about forming a neighborhood watch group.
