Kosciusko County Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide

Kosciusko County Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide of a married couple at a mobile home park just south of Warsaw.

It happened around 7:30 Tuesday morning in the 2700 block of South Country Club Road. Police responded to a call from a concerned neighbor to check the welfare of two people living at a mobile home.

When they went inside the trailer, officers found 47 year-old James Kinzer and his wife, 46 year-old Jane Kinzer, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Kosciusko County Coroner John Sadler says, based on preliminary evidence at the scene, the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.

“It appears to be at this time an alleged murder-suicide,” says Sgt. Chad Hill of the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. “There was a lengthy note that was taken into evidence by the crime scene techs at the scene. At this point in time it's still under investigation.”

Sergeant Hill says autopsies for both people are scheduled for either late Tuesday or early Wednesday in Fort Wayne.
