A Knox woman was arrested Tuesday for driving under the influence. It was around 10 p.m. when the Marshall County Dispatch got a 911 call saying a car was driving erratically on Michigan Road, traveling north from 16th road.
An officer from the Marshall County Police Department was working DUI Task Force north of this area and tried locating the car. A short time later the officer saw the car speeding in this location and then saw that the car was left of center on 13th Rd. west of U.S. 31. The officer pulled the car over.
During the traffic stop the driver was identified as Nikki N. Gibson of Knox. Gibson failed several field sobriety tests and a portable breath test. She was transport to the Marshall County Jail where she then tested .186% on a certified breath test.
Several juveniles were also in the car during the time of the traffic stop. Gibson was lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated with a passenger under the age of 18, a level 6 felony.
She will be in court August 5th at 8:30 a.m.
