Kern road construction finished

Good news for drivers in South Bend. Kern road will re-open Wednesday to traffic between U.S. 31 and Locust Rd.
Kern closed back in July for the first phase of construction of the new U.S. 31 Kern Rd. interchange.
But it may not last long; the road is expected to close once again in the spring for more work.
