Folks out for a lunchtime stroll by the Morris Performing Arts Center on Friday got a little taste of rock and roll.
Jetta and the Jellybeans performed today as part of Fridays by the Fountain.
The band is school house rock meets the bangles.
The group has been performing for family audiences for 10 years.
Organizers said the band drew a different crowd than some of the Friday concerts, which is good for the city.
"We hope this introduces them to more of downtown,” said Dennis Andres, executive director at the Morris Performing Arts Center. “If they have the chance to take their kids and walk down the block to the chocolate café or visit some of the other attractions down the road. Yeah! It's wonderful.”
Swoop -- the Silver Hawks mascot -- also made an appearance at the Jon R. Hunt plaza Friday.
Next week, students from Indiana University will take the stage.
