Folks in Mishawaka got a taste of some jazz tonight, while making a difference in the lives of local children, teens and adults battling cancer.
Riverbend Cancer Services hosted its 10th annual Jazz on the Terrace at beiger mansion.
People got to enjoy music from local and regional jazz musicians, including Box Set with Danny Barber and members of the Penn High School Jazz Band.
NewsCenter 16’s Maureen McFadden MC’d the event.
The yearly jazz concert is the organization's major fundraiser, and they are thankful for the community's continued support to help them provide help for local cancer patients with little or no medical coverage.
“We help people that have cancer who first of all might need assistance with medicines and supplies and that type of thing, counseling, all kinds of stuff like that, but then we also have a whole educational series that we have available for anybody in the community,” said Kate Voelker, Executive Director, Riverbend Cancer Services.
