Ivy Tech is getting a little bit bigger. The Community College is drafting a $96 million plan for a series of expansions at its growing South Bend Campus.
The proposal includes an addition, a Student Life Center and other improvements that would double the campus size.
The expansion would take place over the next ten years and requires approval from the state, as well as funding from the General Assembly and the community.
Over 3,100 students were enrolled in 2000, but this fall, enrollment has risen to just over 5,000 crowding its existing buildings.
