WARSAW A 14-year-old boy who was hit by a car last Tuesday is making some progress.

Austin Valentine had been kept in a medically induced coma, but he's beginning to come out of it and is responding to verbal commands.

A post on a Caring Bridge site said doctors were considering pulling him out of the coma Monday, but so far there’s no word if they made any changes.

Valentine was hit by a car back on July 9th as he tried to cross a street in downtown Warsaw. He was riding a skateboard.
