Indiana unemployment report

Indiana's employment report for June is out.

For the eighth consecutive month the state added private sector jobs, with June's increase totaling 1400.

For 2012, the rate of job growth was at one-point-five percent.

That exceeds the U.S. average of 0.9 percent.

Meantime, the non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the state was at 8.3 percent.

Additional June unemployment rates by county include St. Joseph at 9.3 and Elkhart County at 8.9 percent.

Both of them were higher than the state rate.

Meantime, Kosciusko and Lagrange counties were lower than the state rate.

Kosciusko was at 7.3 percent and Lagrange County was at 7.9 percent.
