Prom season is right around the corner and Ziker Cleaners and the Junior League of South Bend want to make teenage girls throughout Michiana feel extra special.

The pair is hosting the tenth annual Princess for a Night Event. The event provides area high school girls the opportunity to obtain new and gently used prom dresses for free.

The event runs on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Century Center in South Bend.

Before noon on Saturday, more than a hundred teens from across Michiana were already waiting in line.

Last year, the event helped more than 500 girls from 50 area high schools.

Everything from the dress to the shows is free at today's event.

Girls are only asked to bring a student I.D. in order to snag a gown. The dress selection is based on a first-come first-serve basis.

All attendees are asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m. at the latest, to make sure they have enough time to browse the dresses.
