The Humane Society of Elkhart County is getting in the mood for the holidays with special deals and events for pet lovers.
They’re hosting a Howliday Open House to help fight animal homelessness. Folks can take a photo of pets with Santa and meet the Humane Society “elves” who help pets find loving homes all year long. The event runs from noon to 3p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. It’s at the shelter at 54687 County Road 19 in Bristol.
"All that money will be used to help animals,"board president Stephanie Krol says. "It's just a lot of fun."
November is National Adopt a Senior Pet Month. People over age 55 can adopt pets over age 6 old for free.
