LAPAZ Hot weather around the country and in Michiana is creating dangerous circumstances for those who work outside, perhaps none more so than those who’s work actually involves heat.
Three firemen had to be treated for heat exhaustion Tuesday, as they battled a house fire in Lapaz.
The Plymouth Pilot reports that the fire started in a garage at 9:30 in the morning in the 2900 block of Redwood Road. It eventually spread to the home, and both buildings are a total loss. Fire crews were on the scene into the late afternoon.
There’s still no word on the cause of the fire.
