It's full speed ahead in the effort to bring new construction to an area just south of the Notre Dame campus.
The new construction project includes the intersections of State Road 23 and Eddy Street, and Corby Boulevard.
Right now a number of homes and businesses are being demolished. It is all part of the realignment of the "five points" intersection.
According to INDOT officials the project could cost up to seven-point-two million dollars in construction expenses alone.
It’s an effort to improve traffic flow on State Road 23. Ideally the road will be done by the fall of 2014.
