More jobs are coming to Elkhart at a time many are looking for work. Economic times are still tough, but in Elkhart, especially within the RV Industry, things seem to be thriving. That's why Heartland, part of Thor Industries, hosted a job fair Thursday afternoon.
The company hopes to fill 15-20 positions within various departments in the coming weeks. They used Work One to host hundreds of eager applicants. Organizers say a job fair acts as a "one stop shop," for job seekers.
The hiring event comes at a time some say is the begining of "busy season" for the RV industry. If demand continues, human resources officials at Heartland say the hiring could continue in the coming months.
