Handicap parking fines could go up

Tickets for parking in handicapped spots could get a lot steeper if a Valparaiso senator has his way.
Reporting partners at WKVI say republican Ed Charbonneau has proposed raising the minimum fine from $50 to $200.
The bill passed in committee Thursday.
Charbonneau would leave the maximum fine at its current limit of $500.
