The Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project has released its latest numbers on drownings in the Great Lakes.
37 people have drowned so far this year. 22 of those were in Lake Michigan. 11 of them were in the Chicago area.
If you are going to be out on Lake Michigan this weekend, keep in mind that it will be windy Saturday morning through Monday morning.
The winds will be causing waves and dangerous rip currents.
