A Goshen woman who has raised more than $35,000 for a Mennonite relief group over the last 46 years is auctioning her last quilt this year.

Frances Stauffer will be 102 in November and tells The Elkhart Truth (http://bit.ly/16lN2TN ) that this is her last year to sew quilts.

Stauffer started quilting in the late 1960s and has brought in thousands of dollars for the Mennonite Central Committee since then. A quilt titled "New York at Night" raised $12,000 for the relief sale in 2001 and eventually went to former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Stauffer's final auction offering is a full-size quilt featuring a dark red feathered star pattern on a white background. It will be auctioned Sept. 28 at the Elkhart County 4-H fairgrounds in Goshen.
