Geese attacking people at Martin's store

Martin's shoppers in Granger have been surprised the past few days. If you were near the supermarket in Heritage Square, you may have seen an attack.

Shoppers were attacked by two unusual suspects within the past few days. A couple of geese were charging people, cars and even trucks passing by.

From the looks of it, the geese are protecting their nest and their new flock from all directions. The strip mall behind the Martin's has a new retention pond where the geese have decided to nest.

Businesses right around the corner, like Cross-Fit, have heard that their members are being disrupted by incoming geese while running outside.

"I was running and I was not paying attention and it flew into my head and it starting flapping around,” explains Nick Urankar, a trainer at Cross-Fit in South Bend, after a goose attacked. “She said it turned looked at me, held its wings out just like this, stared at me and I was like alright I am going to run now."

So far no injuries or accidents have occurred. It appears that the geese have settled down, for now.
