Funeral arrangements released for teen killed in car accident

LaPorte County, Ind. Funeral arrangements have been set for a LaPorte teen that lost his life in a terrible wreck earlier this week at the St. Joseph - LaPorte County Line.

17-year-old Skyler Kleine, a LaPorte High School Varsity Soccer player, was heading north on County Line Road in a silver Volkswagen Jetta, when he ran a stop sign and sped into eastbound traffic on State Road 2.

The car hit a semi broadside, near the back wheels. Those wheels then rolled over the car, crushing the roof, and trapping Kleine, and his passenger 19-year-old Aaron Oaks, who's also from LaPorte, inside.

Oaks was taken to the hospital to be treated for arm and leg pain, but Kleine did not survive.

Visitation for Kleine will be held this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home on West Johnson Road in LaPorte. His funeral will follow at 1 p.m.
