Frustrations continue with St. Joseph County Leaf Pick Up program

Scheduling problems continue to cause confusion with the St. Joseph County Leaf Pick Up program.

Thursday the owner of Greenworld, the company contracted by St.Joseph County to provide leaf pick up, wasn't available for an interview. He also refused to provide a statement.

He would only say over the phone that the program was started during the worse weather conditions possible.

People have been complaining about a lack of pick-ups in their neighborhood, especially in Clay Township

By this time Greenworld was supposed to have swept through all of the townships for the second time yet some haven't been touched.

“We keep thinking they’re going to be coming around,” says John Hintz. “They keep saying on Monday and we haven't seen anybody yet but we keep hoping though.”

County Commissioners say they have received several complaints yet can't control the weather this season.

The owner of Greenworld would not give a specific timeline of where or when certain townships would be completed.
