Four Winds Invitational golfers visited Memorial Children's Hospital Tuesday

Dozens of women representing the world's best young women professional golfers will be golfing this weekend in South Bend. They will be playing in the Four Winds Invitational at Blackthorn.

Tuesday golfers toured Memorial Children's Hospital and greeted the young patients and their families. The hospital and Ronald McDonald House will be the beneficiary of the event.

They will be using the money for a pediatric emergency transit unit, an intensive care unit on wheels. The golfers brought smiles to the children and hoped to inspire the kids to get out of the hospital.

“I have gotten to do a lot of these, just from the Boys and Girls Club, and the First Tee Program, going out and visiting some kids,” says Professional Golfer Jaclyn Sweeney. “You know you just learn to be thankful for what you have. And for me a bad day on the course is nothing. Just to be outside doing what I love to do for a job is really a blessing.”

The golfers and organizers encourage you to come out to Blackthorn Golf Course the rest of this week to see some exciting golf.
