ST. JOSEPH A school building in Michiana could soon have a new purpose.
The Herald Palladium reports that a potential buyer has proposed turning the Jefferson school building in St. Joseph, Mich. into condo units.
The two-story building covers 33,000 square feet and 3 acres at 2214 S. State St.
It's not the first time the building has faced that possibility. Since 2006, two buyers have attempted to redevelop it into condos, but plans did not work out.
The latest buyer, from Toronto, is considering the $399,000 price tag.
Some of the condo redevelopment is already underway, thanks to previous owners.
