WALKERTON, Ind.--- The former director of the Walkerton Library is expected in court Monday.
Scott Klingerman faces ten counts of fraud in federal court, but Monday's court appearance is a civil action filed in St. Joseph County court by the attorney general to recover missing funds.
Klingerman is accused of spending more than $40,000 of the library's money on himself, purchasing things like vacations, gas, car insurance and a health club membership.
He had been on the job for nearly three years before a state board of accounts audit found problems in July of last year.
Those problems are just now being classified as crimes.
