Former Knox teacher in court

A former Knox High School teacher and basketball coach was in court Friday for his initial hearing on charges of child seduction and official misconduct.

That's according to our reporting partners at WKVI radio.
39-year-old Todd Boldry arrested last week amid allegations of sexual misconduct with a student that occurred as early as 2007.

The Starke County prosecutor's office says Boldry is accused of having an inappropriate relationship on high school grounds with a 17-year-old student that continued through August of 2009 when the victim says she became pregnant and eventually gave birth to his child.

Boldry was taken into custody last Friday at Knox Middle School, where he was working as a teacher.

Knox community school superintendent AJ Gappa says he has since suspended Boldry with pay from that position pending further investigation.

The school board will approve that action during their next meeting on Wednesday.
